It was morning time on Friday, September 6th, 2024. We were all sitting in class and suddenly Marilyn asked, “So what do you want to do this afternoon?” We all brainstormed.
“Would you like go to the river,” Marilyn asked?
“Yeah!” everybody shouted and agreed. Then we all lined up and hiked down to the river carefully watching for cars while Marilyn, James and Amber the dog, monitored for safety.
Finally we all reached the river after crossing the big, beautiful green field. Students and even teachers immediately took off their shoes and socks and jumped into the river. Eventually we found a beautiful deep pool of water on the side that was full of fish which were at least 4 inches long!
“The weather and water were a perfect combination for that outing!” said Marilyn.
Student reflections:
Lina: “It was fun!”
Athena: “It was fun and beautiful!”
Lennox: “It was a really great time going to the river!”
Hazel: “I had fun swimming!”
Liam: “I was sick. I wish I could have gone!”
Evelyn: “I found a cool rock and i saw a frog with Lennox and Athena. I loved it”
